Voteing at start of game displays vote callers name

Postby PrivateLionsUK » Thu Nov 05, 2015 4:35 pm

This is more of a question.

When someone calls a vote at the start of the round, is there a way to possibly display the vote callers name along with the vote they have requested?

If we could display the name, we could see if it's a Non-DB members calling a vote or not. & potentially prevent the same Non-DB member calling multiple wacky votes.

You have to catch it on the bottom left before it scrolls away, but there is a status update that reads, "SoandSo has called a vote"

I've not noticed any feature that would allow this to be done, but will have a check also, doubtful.

However this should be less of an issue as per this post only tagged DB members should be able to call this vote. However last night I noticed DC attempted to do a 'quick vote' before everyone joined to skip the map. So that tag detection isn't working once again, will look into that. I'm not upto speed with where HT's was it with this so will have a chat with him.

We did have the simplest fix for this earlier in the year, i had it configured so that you could only call the vote after 2minutes, the vote would be open for 5 minutes, and then closed again. This had multiple purposes. 1) it stop quick votes before people joined. 2) it stopped people ending a game late into the battle that some people have enjoyed and become annoyed that it ends before the true end. You usually only miss who called the vote if you haven't joined yet, so again a delay is helpful for that also. But these settings were all undone because apparently in the rare occurrences when B3 is down, players having to wait 2 minutes was to inconvenient to get map control(to ie switch it to DM etc).
